No. Modern root canal treatment is virtually painless. We use local anesthesia and advanced rotary endodontic technology that makes the procedure comfortable. Most patients report feeling no pain during the procedure β just mild soreness for a day or two afterward, which is easily managed with painkillers.
Dental implants are designed to last 25+ years β often a lifetime β with proper care. Good oral hygiene, regular dental checkups, and avoiding smoking are key to longevity. We use premium implant brands like Nobel Biocare and Straumann that come with manufacturer warranties.
Veneers are ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth to improve aesthetics (color, shape, minor alignment). They require minimal enamel removal. Crowns cover the entire tooth and are used when a tooth is significantly damaged, decayed, or after root canal treatment. Crowns provide structural support; veneers are primarily cosmetic.
Absolutely! There’s no age limit for orthodontic treatment. We offer traditional braces, ceramic (tooth-colored) braces, and clear aligners for adults. Many of our patients are adults who want to straighten their teeth for the first time or correct shifting that occurred over time. Clear aligners are especially popular among adults for their discreet appearance.
Laser dentistry uses focused light beams to perform dental procedures with minimal bleeding, no stitches, and faster healing. We use lasers for gum surgery, periodontal treatment, soft tissue procedures, and more. Laser treatment is gentler, more precise, and reduces post-operative discomfort significantly.
Tooth extraction is a last resort. We always try to save your natural tooth first. Extraction may be needed if: the tooth is severely decayed beyond repair, has advanced gum disease, is fractured below the gumline, is an impacted wisdom tooth causing problems, or for orthodontic reasons. Our dentist will assess and explain all options before recommending extraction.
Same-day dentistry uses CAD/CAM technology to design, mill, and place dental restorations (like crowns) in a single visit β rather than requiring multiple appointments with temporary crowns. This saves you time and eliminates the need for messy impressions and second visits.
Yes! We have a dedicated pediatric dental section and doctors experienced in treating children. We create a fun, fear-free environment for kids and use gentle techniques to make their dental visits positive experiences. We recommend the first dental visit by age 1 or when the first tooth appears.

Safety & Accreditation
NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) is the gold standard for healthcare quality in India. Our accreditation means we meet rigorous national standards for patient safety, infection control, clinical protocols, staff qualifications, and emergency preparedness. Every aspect of our clinic β from sterilization to patient consent β is audited and verified.
QCI (Quality Council of India) recognition is given to healthcare facilities that meet comprehensive quality standards. Saluja Dentals is the only standalone dental clinic in Kanpur with QCI recognition, placing us among India’s most verified dental institutions. It involves assessment of healthcare quality, infrastructure standards, patient rights, and continuous quality improvement.
We follow NABH-mandated sterilization protocols including: autoclave sterilization for all instruments, disposable items where possible, surface disinfection between patients, sealed instrument pouches opened in front of each patient, and regular biological monitoring of our sterilization equipment. We take infection control extremely seriously.
Yes, absolutely. All reusable instruments go through a multi-step sterilization process using hospital-grade autoclaves that kill all bacteria, viruses, and spores. Single-use items (needles, suction tips, etc.) are disposed of after each patient. You’ll see your instruments in sealed, sterilized pouches opened right in front of you.
We follow comprehensive NABH-mandated safety protocols: proper sterilization, medical history review before treatment, allergy checks, emergency preparedness, staff training, patient consent processes, medication safety, and regular safety audits. We’re equipped to handle medical emergencies during treatment with emergency medications and trained staff on-site.
Our staff is trained in emergency response and we have emergency medications and equipment on-site. Before any treatment, we review your medical history (diabetes, BP, heart conditions, allergies) to assess risk. If a medical emergency arises during treatment, we stabilize the patient and arrange immediate transfer to a hospital if needed. Our NABH accreditation ensures we meet emergency preparedness standards.
Emergency
A dental emergency includes: severe toothache not relieved by painkillers, knocked-out tooth, broken/cracked tooth, facial swelling (can indicate abscess), uncontrolled bleeding, dental trauma from injury/accident, and lost fillings/crowns with exposed tooth. If you’re unsure, call us β we’ll help you determine if it’s an emergency.
Act quickly β time is critical: (1) Pick up the tooth by the crown (white part), never the root. (2) Rinse gently with milk or saline β do NOT scrub. (3) Try to reinsert into the socket and hold it, OR store in milk/saliva. (4) Get to a dentist within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving it. Call +91 99362 93232 immediately.
Yes! We’re open on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM specifically for emergencies and urgent care. If you have a dental emergency on a Sunday, call us at +91 99362 93232 and we’ll be ready for you.
No appointment needed for emergencies β walk-ins are welcome. However, we recommend calling ahead at +91 99362 93232 so we can prepare for your arrival and ensure the right specialist is available. This minimizes your waiting time when you arrive.
Emergency consultation starts at a modest fee, with additional costs depending on the treatment needed (extraction, root canal, etc.). We’ll explain all costs before starting any treatment. EMI options are available for higher-cost treatments. CGHS/ECHS/ESI/UP Police empanelments are accepted for covered components.
Call us at +91 99362 93232. If we’re closed, leave a message β we monitor emergency calls. For immediate pain relief: rinse with warm salt water, apply a cold compress, take over-the-counter painkillers (ibuprofen), and don’t place aspirin directly on gums. For life-threatening emergencies (severe swelling affecting breathing/swallowing), go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.
Children’s Dental
We recommend the first dental visit by age 1 or when the first tooth appears. This early visit is mainly for the parent β we’ll guide you on proper cleaning, feeding practices, and what to expect. Making dental visits a positive experience from an early age prevents fear and establishes good oral health habits for life.
Children should visit the dentist every 6 months for regular checkups and cleaning. However, if your child is prone to cavities, we may recommend more frequent visits. Regular visits help catch problems early, apply preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants, and keep your child comfortable with dental visits.
Yes. We use digital X-rays which emit very low radiation β significantly less than traditional X-rays. We also use lead aprons and thyroid collars for additional protection. X-rays are only taken when clinically necessary and help us detect issues not visible during a visual exam.
Dental sealants are thin protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth (molars). They seal the deep grooves where food and bacteria get trapped, preventing cavities. They’re painless, quick to apply, and can last several years. We highly recommend sealants for children as a preventive measure.
Prevent cavities by: (1) Brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, (2) Flossing daily once teeth touch, (3) Limiting sugary foods and drinks, (4) Encouraging water over juice/soda, (5) Regular 6-month dental checkups, (6) Applying sealants and fluoride treatments, (7) Not putting babies to bed with milk bottles.
This is very common and we’re experienced in handling it. We create a child-friendly environment with our dedicated pediatric section. Our approach: (1) We explain everything in kid-friendly language, (2) We use gentle, show-and-tell techniques, (3) We never rush or force treatment, (4) We reward bravery with small treats, (5) We start with simple visits and build trust. Parents are welcome to stay during treatment for reassurance.
